Founder and Executive Director
Bashar H.Iraqi,27, was born and raised in Tira, one of three predominantly Arab cities known as the Triangle in Israel. He is a third year law/LLB student at Sh'aarei Mishpat College. He is also the Founder and Executive Director of Darna, (" Our Home"), His passion for social activism, coexistence and peacemaking began at the age of fifteen, when he was selected to represent his community at the Seeds of Peace coexistence program in Maine in 1999. He subsequently traveled much of the world as a spokesman for the Arab youth of Israel, discussing coexistence and peacemaking in a wide variety of forms. he received an advanced certificate in dialogue facilitation, allowing him to work in the United States and across the Middle East as a coexistence dialogue facilitator. For more than a decade, Mr. Iraqi has been a tireless advocate for the values, knowledge and critical skills essential to progressing the peace process, as well as for practical social justice in his community and country. Trilingual in Arabic, Hebrew and English, Bashar worked at the Israeli Supreme Court as a professional translator until early 2011, when he left to found Darna to begin a process of healing within his community and across to others.

streets of Arab cities about Art and the need of it as a tool to bring change. We believe that Art is a language
of its own, and that it’s a great influential tool for people to connect and facilitate feeling of all kinds in an
organized safe manner.
